Palm Warbler

Palm warbler (?) perched in a tree in Florida.

Jail bird.

Snowy Egret

Yeah, I know I can fly but I prefer long, romantic walks on the beach.

Puffins

Puffins

Paddling around through the beautiful, cool turquoise sea water.

This pair is diving for some fish, the one on the left has his lunch in his mouth.

Just floating along in a cove on the south coast of Alaska in late August (2021).

Killdeer

KILLDEER

In Florida, this killdeer was prancing in the grass near an alligator relaxing in the sunshine. This little guy likes to yell his own name: a fast, high-pitched "kill-deer kill-deer kill-deer" call. Some of the distinguishing features to ID this bird include the red eye ring, dark necklace and rusty tail. There is also a white strip on the forehead with a higher black strip.
